The pink lotus is associated with the gods, goddesses, and deities of Hindu and Buddhist religions. The scientific name for a Pink Lotus is Nelumbo nucifera (scientific title), also known by Sacred Lotus and Indian Lotus. The lotus is similar to the spirit of a person as described in Hindu scriptures. It is a symbol of purity, holiness and dignity in many religions including Christianity, Hinduism and Buddhism. The lotus bud is small and simple at first, but it grows into a beautiful flower when it gets out of the watery ponds. It shows us how to triumph over all our difficulties and overcome the negative aspects to become a beautiful person who gives meaning to your life. The lotus shows us how to grow with each practice, and that it is a source for an endless new beginning. As the bud opens each petal to reveal its true self, so we do the same with our students and team. We practice perseverance and open ourselves gradually to the light of the universe, taking them on the higher ground.
